The Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal conducted winter relief camps at Arong Khunou and Tokpaching Villages, situated at about 55 kms & 80 Kms, respectively, from Imphal, under 38 Hiyanglam Ac, Kakching District, on Wednesday 4th December 2019.

In all more than 400 woollen blankets were provided to the poor & needy, elderly residents, from 8 villages, namely, Arong Khunjao, Arong Khunou, Komnao, Nongmaikhong Awang, Nongmaikhong Mayai, Nongmaikhong Makha, Sharik Konjin and Tokpaching. Dr. Radhe Shyam Yumnam, the  M.L.A  of Hiyanglkam AC, very kindly made the arrangements for the selection of the deserving beneficiaries and also the logistics support for the relief camp.

Overall 500 blankets worth Rs.1,88,000/- were distributed, in FY 2019-20, as part of our Winter Relief Services for the needy & poor. The blankets have been procured with the financial assistance from the Headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal.  

Ramakrishna Mission is a Non-Political, Non-Sectarian, Spiritual Organisation which conducts its philanthropic services, irrespective of caste, creed, race or religion of beneficiaries, in a spirit of worship to ‘Living Gods’ as per the dictum of Swami Vivekananda, ‘Service to Man is Service to God’.  

In a democratic country which follows the principle of ‘Welfare State’, any kind of social service necessarily involves interaction with the Government. However, being a spiritual organization which aims at the spiritual regeneration of humanity, the Ramakrishna Mission maintains its position above active politics and political affiliations.
